White washed fireplace finish uncovers old hidden paws!

Thank you to my friend/client Amy and local designer Leanna Hart, for the opportunity to paint a custom white wash finish on this fireplace along with older storage cabinets in the room during your recent home renovation.

It is fun coordinating with walls, and wood trim to softly bring in the brick and open up the space. Updating dark cabinets (left of the fireplace), was a nice design touch and totally makes financial sense instead of replacing. New hinges were added and room is ready to enjoy!

For anyone selling their home in the future,  this is a great update before prospective buyers visit an open house. Many people update wall colors and this can be done over several days and help to sell fast! Many of my professional realtor and home organizer/staging friends suggest this to their clients!

A fun surprise appeared after washing the hearth area and wonder who these little paws belonged to years ago when this was first built. A new fireplace cover will be added soon and hope Amy and her family can enjoy this space for many years to come.
