This antique dresser was well loved for many years and it was time for a change in my client’s hallway foyer to welcome guests.
I worked on this fun piece in my shop this past June and loved painting with Annie Sloan’s Duck Egg, a color I had always loved and had never used before.
As you can see, it was very dark wood with dark bronze hardware and after cleaning/repairs and adding a new paint color/distressing/brown glaze/polyurethane finish, it has new life!
Judy and I met to look at variety of colors and then I made a few samples of her favorites to look at in the space with lighting and accesorries. She trusted me to be creative and figure out the final finish as I worked!
I absolutely loved seeing the transformation as I painted. I knew distressing the wood carvings were important to help with dimensions and to show off the beautiful details before glazing!
Thanks Judy again for trusting me with this piece and empowering me to create such a fun new happy finish for you to enjoy!!!
