Enjoyed teaming up with with local artist, Michele Ambrozic, http://ambrozicart.com on this fireplace brick back in March and creating a German Schmeer plaster finish. Our client recently sent some final room design photos and we wanted to share this project!
This home is over 100 years old and so charming inside as well as outside gardens nestled up in the hills of Fox Chapel.
Our client, Mary Lee, had a clear vision of what finish she wanted and gave us inspiration photos to achieve the best results. So happy she was pleased with our German Schmeer finish.
Some repointing work was done ahead on the old mortar so it could be more protected before we painted on the plaster. This new finish truly softened the room and works nicely with the ceiling beams as well.
