This storage keepsake, from one of my best friend’s mom, was an extra special project because I loved her too growing up and for many wonderful years.
She was a beautiful soul and loved this piece in her own home. After she passed away several years ago, Susan chose to keep it for her home.
Although the color/finish needed updated, there was no doubt this piece belonged near the hearts and home of her daughter and family.
It was fun brainstorming the colors/hardware finish to coordinate well with their new colors and decor.
Fusion’s Midnight Navy was the perfect choice and it’s a charming, stunning, modernizing color! Champagne gold metallic was painted onto carved details, original hinges, and door pulls.
Susan’s mom was definitely with me in spirit and smiling over while I painted. I could even smell her perfume inside, which really touched my heart.
This project is a great example of why I love to restore furnishings that have special meaning for my clients and friends! Feeling blessed and thankful for the opportunity once again!
