Grandparents’ antique cedar chest treasure is renewed for Susan and her family.

When I take on new projects, I always wonder where these pieces have been over the years. Susan had been given this cedar chest from her folks after they had enjoyed it growing up. Love how special keepsakes travel with families. The top had some wear and holes were filled and old finish sanded down. Custom dark cherry stain applied to top and handles to coordinate with some of her current dining room pieces and decor. The sides and feet are in Annie Sloan chalk paint and made the piece come to life! I love the simple details on this piece and new look. Very well constructed and ready to enjoy along with all the memories. Thank you Susan for the opportunity to be creative on this piece!
