Early in the fall my neighbor/friend was doing final renovations in her home and family room. This older fireplace brick needed cleaning and a soft custom whitewashed paint finish.
The entire first floor had a new hardwood, colors, and beautiful hand crafted built-in bookshelves. New furniture was ready to be delivered. I scheduled quickly to work in the open room ahead of furniture.
The brick now looks much more updated, coordinates with the new wall color, and opens up the entire space!
Whitewashing can be soft rather than a bright white finish and totally updates this new family room!
It’s an important design idea to consider if you are selling your home. It’s affordable, only takes a day or two, and you’ll really impress your buyers!
